Scope of Work: Kitchen Renovation, design and construct

Completion Date: April 2023

Moody and minimalist in colour and texture design restraint is the success of this space.

A Contemporary transformation from dated 80s timber and granite kitchen to an elegant, multi-zone modern entertainer to be enjoyed.

With a focus on the functionality of being able to have multiple people prepping and cooking, whilst still be connected to guests in the casual dining space, this kitchen is elevated to feel more like a contemporary wine bar with hi-end furniture.   Innovated and sophisticated V-Zug cooking appliances including the full flex induction cooktop and combi steam has the entire family (kids included) wanting to cook.   An elegant, classic colour palette. The textured ‘Blackened Legno’ joinery grounds the space, whilst the use of subtle curves, inspired from the homes entrance, has softened the transition areas, and is offset by the moody ‘Royal Platinum’ porcelain benchtops.

Bold and confident use of materials and design details has created a moody destination, with seamless surface design and clean lines – with the exclusion of handles and internal black joinery.  The use of only a 12mm porcelain benchtops in both the functional kitchen workspace and the casual dining areas for consistency allows the refinement of the stone to feature and add movement and texture. With practical inclusions to maximise storage such as the le mans corner unit, and the all-essential coffee station, hidden away after the morning rush, is concealed in the appliance cupboard on a slide out shelf.
